Welcome to the web site of the Northern and Southern Chapters of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). We are confident that this site will be of value to you, whether you are a member of the general public looking for a qualified Elder Law attorney to assist you, or simply browsing for some basic information. If you are an attorney but not a member, contact us to become a member of the largest dedicated group of professionals, with over 300 members in California and over 4000 members nationally, committed to the well-being and safety of seniors and the disabled in our State and the Nation. Both Chapters of California NAELA are active and growing, providing educational meetings and networking that benefit all participants. Our organizations strive to help our members become ever better at serving the needs of the senior and disabled client, to educate the public, and to promote sound, sensible public policy and laws that affect senior and disabled residents of California. In addition to a powerful national presence, our members are the leading writers and teachers of continuing legal education in Elder Law in State and National publications. Several of our members currently serve on the Board of Directors of NAELA and have served in various officer positions, including president of the organization. Members strive to continually hone their skills and add to their knowledge. The membership gathers at multiple meetings throughout the year in Northern and Southern California. In addition to the National listserv, members have access to a very active California Chapters listserv where novel questions are raised and answered on a regular basis; members connect to help one another and share late breaking news. Elder Law attorneys are perhaps the most collegial attorneys in the nation. You will find that our members embody the highest sense of ethics, professional responsibility, and devotion to our unique and special clientele.
